From Vision to Action: Positive Planet’s first-ever Impact Report is here

Three years ago, we set out with a clear mission: to protect our planet for future generations. At Positive Planet, we are a purpose-driven organisation, fully committed to creating positive change for both people and the planet. Since our founding, this vision has driven our efforts and continues to inspire the work we do today.

Since our founding, this vision has driven our efforts and continues to inspire the work we do today.

Reflecting on our journey, Co-Founders Adam White and Stephen Henry shared their thoughts:

“We launched Positive Planet with the belief that climate change presented an urgent need for companies to future-proof their operations. Many didn’t know where to start or what to do. We also saw a green revolution bringing significant economic opportunities for businesses that could successfully integrate sustainable practices. We felt uniquely positioned to help them do just that.”

Our Commitment to Transparency

We believe that real change starts with transparency and accountability. This year, we are proud to share our first-ever Impact Report — a key milestone in our journey. It offers an opportunity to reflect on our successes, confront the challenges we’ve faced, and reinforce our unwavering commitment to creating a lasting impact. 

The report provides an in-depth review of our progress, helping us refine our strategy as we move forward with greater focus and purpose.

Tackling Our Carbon Footprint

As a young, fast-growing organisation, it is unsurprising that our total emissions have increased by 36% this year. However, we are pleased to report that emissions per employee and per £1 million in revenue have decreased significantly. While most emission categories have remained stable, we have seen a noticeable rise in business travel. This is largely due to an increase in in-person training sessions, client meetings, and industry events, as well as more accurate reporting of our travel data.

We remain committed to tracking and reducing our carbon footprint, finding more ways to minimise emissions while maintaining our growth trajectory.

People at the Heart of Our Mission

Our company culture is defined by our commitment to creating a positive impact. We believe that businesses can, and should, be a force for good. This belief shapes our work through our people, our clients, and the planet we all share. Culture at Positive Planet is not static. It evolves with every new team member who joins us, and we are all part of shaping it together.

Our people are what make Positive Planet special, and their dedication is at the core of everything we achieve.

Creating Social Impact Through Action

Driving social value is another critical aspect of creating a responsible business, and at Positive Planet, we don’t just talk about making a positive impact — we live it. Starting in 2023, we introduced company-wide volunteering days to give back to the communities that support us.

One of our proudest initiatives was our work with Lakeside Community Interest Company (CIC) in Moston. Together, we transformed an underused space into a thriving community allotment, providing a much-needed green area for local residents.

This year, we collaborated with Hulme Community Garden Centre (HCGC), a not-for-profit organisation with 20 years of experience in promoting sustainability and organic practices. By supporting HCGC, we are contributing to the creation of green spaces that promote well-being and environmental stewardship in the heart of our communities.
