Positive Planet launched three years ago to protect our planet for future generations. We are a purpose-driven business striving to have a positive impact on people and the planet.
“We launched Positive Planet with a belief that climate change presented a need for companies to future-proof their operations and most had little idea of how to get started or what to do. We also saw a green revolution that presented significant economic opportunities for those who successfully embedded sustainable working practices, and we felt that we were well placed to help companies benefit from this.”
Adam White & Stephen Henry, Co-Founders of Positive Planet
Our Commitment
At Positive Planet, we believe that meaningful change begins with transparency, accountability, and an unwavering commitment to making a difference. Over the past year, we’ve been dedicated to creating our first Impact Report — a valuable opportunity to reflect on our efforts, celebrate our successes, and confront the challenges we’ve encountered along the way. This report marks an important milestone, allowing us to evaluate our progress and continue driving positive impact with greater focus and purpose.
Our Carbon Footprint
As a young and rapidly growing organisation, it’s no surprise that our total emissions have risen by 36% this year. On a positive note, however, our emissions per employee and per £1 million in revenue have significantly decreased. Most emission categories have remained relatively stable, with the exception of business travel, where we’ve seen a notable increase. This is partly due to improved reporting, but primarily driven by a rise in in-person training sessions, client presentations, and industry events.
Our People
Our company culture is driven by a commitment to making a positive impact. We believe business can be a force for good, and we aim to create this impact through our people, clients, and the planet. Culture isn’t something fixed; it evolves with every new team member who joins Positive Planet, with each of us shaping it together.
“At Positive Planet, diversity and inclusion are key to our success, fostering creativity, innovation, and better problem-solving. Our diverse team strengthens our connection with clients and communities, driving our impact. The passion and commitment of our team have been central to our success, and we empower growth through continuous learning, teamwork, and open communication in the dynamic carbon consulting sector.”
Lewis Parker, Project Delivery Executive, Positive Planet
Our Social Impact
At Positive Planet, we aim to lead by example. Our dedication to creating a lasting positive impact stems from our values and is driven by each member of our team. That’s why starting in 2023, we began to roll out company-wide volunteering days. In the summer of 2023, we dedicated our efforts to supporting the local community by partnering with Lakeside Community Interest Company (CIC) in Moston. Together, we transformed a neglected space into a vibrant community allotment, providing a much-needed green space for residents.
This year, we turned our attention to Hulme Community Garden Centre (HCGC). HCGC is a unique not-for-profit organisation, established 20 years ago and underpinned by organic principles, promoting sustainability through best horticultural practice and respect for the environment.
