How HotelShopUK made employee engagement a key part of their sustainability strategy
A single HotelShopUK employee originally joined one of our public online Carbon Literacy training courses in October 2022. Inspired by the course, the learner reached out to Positive Planet to find out how else we could support their company on their sustainability journey.
Since the course in 2022, HotelShopUK has engaged with Positive Planet for additional decarbonisation and training support. The Positive Planet team have developed a Carbon Reduction Plan to help HotelShopUK minimise its carbon emissions. Positive Planet also created a specific Carbon Literacy course for HotelShop’s industry and rolled this course out to the wider workforce.

Your business can become a Carbon Literate Organisation
A Carbon Literate Organisation (CLO) is an organisation that has been accredited by The Carbon Literacy Project as having a substantial commitment to Carbon Literacy. CLO accreditation supports the development (and recruitment and retention) of a Carbon Literate workforce and requires an organisation to engage positively with its audience or community in developing and delivering low carbon behaviour. The accreditation has been designed to showcase significant dedication to Carbon Literacy.
