Positive Planet, a leading sustainability consultancy based in Manchester, is proud to announce a new partnership with the Greater Manchester Learning Provider Network (GMLPN), a collaboration that will expand access to high-quality sustainability training and education for learning providers across the region.
The collaboration will support training providers, colleges, and skills organisations across Greater Manchester in embedding sustainability into their operations and education programmes. By combining Positive Planet’s expertise in sustainability strategy with GMLPN’s extensive network of learning providers, the partnership will empower the sector to reduce carbon emissions, engage learners on climate action, and contribute to Greater Manchester’s 2038 Net Zero ambition.
Established in 2006, GMLPN has been dedicated to supporting its members for almost 20 years. As one of the largest provider networks in the country, membership includes Independent Training Providers, Further Education Colleges, Community Providers, Universities, Awarding Organisations, Local Authorities, and key sector partners, primarily located across Greater Manchester.
GMLPN members play a crucial role in supporting residents, businesses and communities throughout the region, delivering high-quality vocational and technical education including Apprenticeships, Skills Bootcamps, T Levels, Adult Education, and Pre-Employment Programmes.
Positive Planet offers a comprehensive range of sustainability support, including strategy development, company and product carbon measurement, compliance support and training programmes designed to empower organisations to take meaningful climate action. A cornerstone of their training offer is Carbon Literacy Training, accredited by the Carbon Literacy Project. As a Platinum Organisation and with consultant-level trainers within the team, Positive Planet delivers market-leading expertise and guidance to organisations committed to embedding sustainability into their operations.
